POPS CONCERT: The Peacemakers are sponsoring a trip to the Pops Concert on Tuesday, December 18th. Anyone interested in joining them should call Evelyn Kelley for reservations. The bus will leave the church at 6:00 p.m.
LIGHTS VIEWING: The Peacemakers are also sponsoring a trip to see the lights downtown, Jefferson Hotel, and our local Mechanicsville area, on Thursday, December 20th at 5:00 p.m. Refreshments after viewing at Evelyn Kelley’s. Please call Evelyn for reservations.

Who are the Peacemakers?
Started in 2004 after 7 months of planning and prayer, the Peacemakers is an active group of adults aged 55 and over. Their mission? We seek the Peace of God through encouragement, joy, care, and unity."
This group is active and on the go. Meeting the first Wednesday of each month, in 2006, they accomplished the following:
- Visited shut-ins the third Tuesday of each month
- Honored caregivers in December by taking 12 meals to families
- Took a bus trip to the mountains
- Held a Tacky Lights tour
- Held regular ongoing computer classes in the new computer lab
- Attended a Pops concert
- Sponsored an educational seminar regarding strokes
- Started the Compassionate Hearts grief ministry
- Sponsored and arranged a Veteran's Day memorial service
- Held weekly exercise classes
- Attended dinner theaters
- And much, much more!
In 2007, planned activities include:
- Trip to the Virginia Historical Society
- Continuation of regular computer classes
- Continuation of regular weekly exercise classes
