| Starting in the fall of 2007, the WGBC Children's Learning Center will partner with the Dominion School for Autism to provide classroom space for children with autism. The Dominion School for Autism is a nonprofit school providing a range of educational programs, year-round
services, and community-based activities to individuals in the Richmond,
Virginia area with autism spectrum disorders. DSFA’s goal is to provide excellent, comprehensive educational services to children with autism at a reasonable cost.
Dominion preschool students who are ready for a group environment will have a classroom in the Walnut Grove Preschool Building. They will visit our pre-K classes allowing them to practice what they are learning. Only 2 children at a time will visit and will be accompanied by a Dominion teacher.
Our goals are to provide a safe, loving, and educational environment for all the students involved. The program will be carefully monitored by the CLC and Dominion School for Autism to make sure this partnership meets these goals.
