Divorce Recovery to Start January 27th

January of 2008 will be our sixth divorce recovery workshop. Several members of the church have gone through extensive training and have practical experience in order to facilitate this ministry.

The workshop is designed for anyone who has gone through or is going through a divorce, whether in our church family or in the community. It is an opportunity for WGBC to help those in our community who are feeling the devastating effects and emotional grief of divorce. The workshop consists of fellowship, large group study with keynote speakers and small group sharing time. Topics covered are Denial, Anger, Depression, Guilt, Rejection, Letting Go, and Acceptance. As always, we will have the same great keynote speakers, many who are PhD level and experts in their fields, as well as dedicated volunteers who are committed to helping people through the difficult process of divorce. Guest speakers will include Dr. Drexel Rayford, Dr. Roberta Damon, Dr. Dan Bagby, Dr. David Stein, and Ms. Karen Riggs.
