Starting on March 30th, we began the “We Actually Can Make a Big Difference” worship series. Over the nine weeks from March 30th to June 1st, we have continued to celebrate how a group of Christians who decide together to do things differently can make a significant, collective impact on the society in which we live.
On this trip we plan to have a Bible school for the children and will also take the elderly on a retreat. Click here for more.
This spring, we are starting two new discipleship opportunities. First, the Discipleship Team invites you to jump-start your daily quiet time with inspirational thoughts from Joni Eareckson Tada. Join us starting April 20th as we journey together for 31 days “toward the heart of heaven and into the love of our Father and Savior”. We will read Joni’s book Intimacy with God together as a congregation.
Dick Southworth with The Great Journey, LLC, will be presenting Developing Your Personal Spiritual Practice Sunday afternoons April 14—May 25, 4—6 pm. Do you feel called to take time apart for personal spiritual practice? Do you find it difficult to justify incorporating it into your busy schedule? Do you wonder what you should do during that time? Are you already taking time apart, but feel the need to deepen your practice? RSVP to the church office for this powerful study.
Blogs clog the web. Why have another? Well, this will be a way to interact. "Rayford's Ramblings" was the title of my articles in the newsletters of the churches I've served as pastor, including Walnut Grove. Frequently, people wanted to respond but it took a while to get the correspondence. The beauty in blogs lies in interactivity. Also, this blog can serve as a sort of "ask the pastor anything you've ever wanted to ask about matters of faith" and we can dialogue about it. Why not try it?
It’s time to mark your calendars and schedule your time to Assure Shelter for the homeless. Your help is needed to provide and help with food, clothing, showers, laundry, cleaning, overnight chaperons, etc.

Scrapbooking
We meet 7-10 p.m. the third Monday of each month in the Old Fellowship Hall. Bring your supplies for scrapbooking, rubber-stamping, card-making, or any table-top craft, and enjoy some hobby time away from home! Bring a snack or drink to share if you can.
Single Parents
The Single Parents' Circle is for mothers and fathers with children 18 and under who are divorced, widowed, or never married.

Through our partnership with NorthStar Community, we support and address addiction issues for both individuals and their families. Many people, just like you and me, are addicted, or are dealing with addiction issues in their lives. We are here to support any and all people (perhaps even you) who have decided that they are sick and tired of being sick and tired. The meetings/service will begin with music, food, and fellowship, and a message, followed by support groups. Everyone is welcome to attend – we all have habits, hang ups, & hurts.
